GOODREADS SYNOPSIS: In Strange Angels, Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called “the touch.” (Comes in handy when you’re traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.) Then her dad turns up dead—but still walking—and Dru knows she’s next. Even worse, she’s got two guys hungry for her affections, and they’re not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whatever—or whoever— is hunting her?

5 starsREVIEW: I usually try to scope out books where romance plays a major role in the plot, but when my friend recommended this book to me and told me there was little romance…I was a little ehh about reading it. So it surprised me when I read the first paragraph of chapter one, I was immediately sucked into its world. I find this book to be complex and a heartbreaking sorrow tale. This book is dark and edgy. With very little romance–almost nonexistent–this book was really good to me. Throughout the book, it seems to deal with hardcore challenges a person can actually face  in life (figuratively speaking). It shows that you can conquer your fears and it is okay to be scared.

Saintcrow’s writing technique is unique in its own way. Its well written in her description of scenes…and I love how she gives us little pieces of Dru’s past throughout the book.

Dru→ Dru is a bada* and she doesn’t even know it. With all the crazy stuff that was thrown onto her in a rush, she dealt with it kinda, sorta, pretty smoothly 😉 I really like her character. She can hold her own ground; refusing to let others push her around.

Graves→ Graves is too sweet. I love his character. I don’t want to say too much about him, so that is all I am going to say 🙂

Lesson Learned? Your fears are not bigger than you, even if you are scared, you can defeat your problems.

*Definitely Recommended
