Fallen by Lauren Kate Movie Adaptation

Doesn’t it seem like they are turning ever popular book into a movie these days? There was Twilight, Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games, Beautiful Creatures, The Mortal Instruments, Vampire Academy, Divergent, and now Fallen!

Fallen is an Urban Fantasy dealing with fallen angels. It is about a teenage girl name Luce, who is sent to a delinquent boarding school due to starting a fire at her high shcool. While there, she runs into a guy name, Daniel. Luce feels drawn to him the moment she lays eyes on him, but Daniel wants nothing to do with her.

Throughout this series, there are complex and twisting plots that leave you anxious to know the end results. Its been a while since I read this series, so I can’t remember every detail. But I do know this: This series is addicting and worth reading!

A few days ago, they announced the casting of the two main roles, Luce and Daniel: Addison Timlin as Luce and Jeremy Irvine as Daniel.

The producers for Fallen will be Mayhem Pictures’ Gordon Gary and Mark Ciadi. They also produced, “The Game Plan” and “Tooth Fairy”.

Scott Hicks, an Australian filmmaker, will direct Fallen with the written screenplay by Kathryn Price. Hicks is known for the Oscar nomination, “Shine”, and has also directed, “The Lucky One” starring Zac Efron. Kathryn Price has written the screenplay (along with Nichole Millard) for “The Game

Plan” starring Dwayne Johnson. Filming begins September 2013.

For those who are familiar with the series, how do you think this movie will turn out? What scenes are you looking forward to seeing on the big screen?
