Lacey Weatherford/ Sydney Snow / Tis the Year: Who Made the List?

Tis the Year: Outstanding Author (2013)

Tis the Year: Who Made the List?

Tis the Year: Who Made the List? is a series with three categories that will be held each year in December, one day a week. The three categories are: Best Female and Male Character, Outstanding Author, and Book of the Year. This series gives you a chance to look back at all the books you have read within the year and share the characters, authors, and books that have stood out to you and warmed your heart the most..

To participate, all you have to do is share one book, one male and female character, and one author one day a week for three weeks.

Outstanding Author of the Year is a meme for the author that has inspired you the most this year. Whether it’s from their writing style or storylines, pick the author that has been your favorite to read this year.

**The most outstanding author that has won my heart this year is Lacey Weatherford!

My two favorite series from her is Chasing Nikki and Crush!

Weatherford has inspired me and has given me meaningful life lessons from these these two series. Two of the most important things to me after reading a novel is learning something that can help me in life and feeling an emotional connection to the characters. And Weatherford has given me both!

I read the Crush Series first and then Chasing Nikki. Crush is a swooner! I love that book! But Chasing Nikki? Oh my gosh! It’s an emotional read full of surprises! I found myself going from laughing to crying in such a short timespan. It was crazy! But I loved every single moment of it.

The simplicity of her writing style is easy to read and I was able to picture every scene perfectly.

About the Author:

Lacey Weatherford

Lacey Weatherford’s website.

Genre: Young Adult, Romance

Lacey Weatherford was born in Ft. Meade Maryland while her father was serving in the military. She has been a life long resident of Arizona, spending most of her time growing up in the small rural town of Clay Springs.

It was while she was attending the small country school in Clay Springs, that she read her first “big” book at the age of eight. It was a Nancy Drew novel and Lacey was instantly hooked. She read every book that she could find in the series and decided that she wanted to write stories too.

Lacey spent a lot of time at the library from that time forward, even volunteering in her later teen years and early twenties. She would don a crazy clown outfit for the Friends of the Library fundraisers in an effort to help get the new town library built.

When she and her husband moved away from the area, Lacey took the opportunity to take some creative writing classes at the local college to help further along her interests. Several years later, they were blessed with the opportunity to move back to Clay Springs with their family. The town had finally succeeded in building their library and Lacey had the opportunity to be President of the Friends of the Library for a very short time, before relocating.

Lacey and her family still live in the White Mountains of Arizona, where she continues to write young adult novels that have a fantasy/fairytale or paranormal bent to them, as well as being sure to include a great romantic storyline!

If you haven’t heard of Lacey Weatherford, I suggest you add one of her books to your TBR list. They are amazing and you won’t regret it!

Merry Christmas and God Bless! xoxo
