A.G. Howard / Alison Kemper / James Dashner / Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays (Sept. 16)

Teaser Tuesdays (TT) is a weekly series hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

It’s easy to join in the fun!

To participate:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

Here’s my teaser: Dead Over Heels by Alison Kemper

“She rips another piece of squirrel meat from the bone and talks through her food. ‘By that point, only a few kids hadn’t got bit. You know that redhead girl on the basketball team? I ain’t never liked her. So I told Jarrod to bite her.'”-pp. 86, Dead Over Heels by Alison Kemper

Splintered by A.G. Howard“I have less than two hours before I have to meet Dad at the asylum. It’s been a Friday tradition ever since kindergarten, to get chocolate-cheesecake ice cream at the Scoopin’ Stop and take it to share with Alison.”-1%, Splintered (Splintered, #1) by A.G. Howard

The Kill Order (The Maze Runner, 0.5) by James Dashner

“He couldn’t stroll through the crowded alleys and paths of their settlement without it reminding him of the good days living in the big city, when life had been rich and full of promise, everything in the world within easy reach, ready for the taking. And he hadn’t even realized it.”– 1%, The Kill Order (The Maze Runner, #0.5) by James Dashner

Make sure to tune in every Tuesday to join in, or subscribe to my blog and get a reminder every Tuesday by email. Happy Reading! ❤

  1. Poor redheaded girl 😦 Great teasers here. How are you finding the Kill order so far? I read the Maze Runner series and have the Death Cure waiting for me, but I’m a bit nervous about reading it since I didn’t really like the last two books.

    Here’s mine.

    • The Kill Order is okay. It’s a bit slow. This is actually the first book I’ve read from James Dashner. I decided to read the prequel before book one. So you didn’t really like the first two books in the series?

      • I thought the first book was the best one. It starts off slow, but it gets really exciting and I enjoyed it. The second book started off great, but faltered while the last book didn’t make sense to me…..but don’t let that ruin your experience in reading the books. Lots of people loved them and they’re making a movie about it, so I’m sure you’ll like it too. 🙂
