Name: Alexis Collins
Favorite Books: Top 5: Lux Series, Vampire Academy Series, He’s So/She So Trilogy, The Indigo Spell, and The Boyfriend Thief…oh! and Green Eggs and Ham! (I can’t forget about that book 🙂 this will always be my favorite)
I am a college student, born and raised in Texas who loves reading (obviously), writing, listening to music, eating, exercising, playing sports, and is constantly online shoppping. I dabble in a little drawing, painting, and photoshopping as well.
I’ve been reading my whole life since my mother handed me a Junie B. Jones book in the first grade. Since then, I’ve been reading non-stop! 🙂 I moved onto The Series of Unfortunate Events, then Fear Street Series, and finally Twilight. Twilight was the first, thickest, book I had ever read. After reading it a million times, I discovered the Vampire Academy Series 😀 (Thank the Lord!) And from then on, I’ve been hooked on Young Adult Fiction. I read a few Adult Fiction as well, but it is nothing compared to the teenage drama you get out of YA Fiction. 😉
About This Blog…
Obviously, this is a book blog! I wanted to be able to share and give my opinion on some of the different worlds and characters’ lives that I have visited in books. So I created this blog. Now, lets go into more depth of what this book blog is all about:
I love reading Young Adult fiction, romance, urban fantasy, mystery, contemporary, and a little of the paranormal. So those are basically the genres I am going to be reviewing books from.. I aim for spoiler-free reviews, but if I do write a spoiler review, i will warn you! 🙂 I will try my best to publish at least one post a week. If not, then one post every two weeks; depending on how busy my schedule is.
At the end of my reviews, I breakdown the overall rating to small bits for that particular book; showing why I rated it the way I did. I rate books a bit weirdly: You usually give a book at least one star, so for my rating procedure, I start off with the book cover. I know, I know, you shouldnt “judge a book by its cover”, but you have to admit, some book covers are pretty nice. So, for my rating system I rate, the character development and plot together, if it keeps my interest (its either there or its not, you know?), imagery (was picturing the scenes and characters easy to follow?), and then theres the book cover.
Feel free to browse around. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions about my reviews and I don’t mind being introduced to new books (even though my TBR list is overflowing, but you understand right?) so go ahead and recommend some! 👍😊
